AMSSA Talk: Strengthening the Francophone Referral Process

AMSSA Talk: Strengthening the Francophone Referral Process

November 5, 2021

Every year, French-speakers immigrate to Canada and settle in Francophone communities outside Quebec. Immigration Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) Canada remains committed to supporting the successful integration and settlement of francophone newcomers. Therefore, IRCC’s Francophone Integration Pathway aims to ensure that French-speaking newcomers can obtain accurate and complete information on French settlement services offered by francophone organizations.

This AMSSATalk provides directors, management, and frontline staff with more information about ways of strengthening referrals to francophone organizations.

The AMSSATalk features speakers with a range of personal and professional experiences supporting different sectors, from settlement services to education in French, and employment services. The speakers will highlight the connections between newcomers’ integration and the principle of “par et pour” (by and for francophones) while emphasizing the importance of collaborative partnerships to strengthen referrals to services in French for immigrants and refugees.

____
