| The creation of a directory of cross-cultural public health expertise and
skills is a critical tool for the provision of appropriate health services in British Columbia.
The directory will help foster strong partnerships and networks of professionals and institutions
across the province and, as a freely accessible Internet-based resource, will ease
the identification of culturally relevant public health care professionals and services by
both individuals and organizations.
The Directory will draw upon the output of the two previous phases of the Promoting Healthy Living project
as well as initiating further community level research to make sure that the final product is as complete as
possible.
Being Internet based, updates and revisions will not be expensive, resulting in a sustainable and up-to-date
resource. The Directory will be available on-line by February 2006.
